Previously Mark has said the results were already known and were expected for release on Monday. Monday flew past and everyone just believed the results would never come.
Within the next 24 hours many gm users began complaining about yoyogames.com not working. The clue was cast that the winners were being announced and the site was under maintenence. The speculation and rumors turned out to be true.

Tut’s Test by KC LC
Tut’s Test was 3rd place to our suprise. The game was nice but, it was not well known. As you all know that KC LC has been a dedicated moderator of the Game Maker Community. She has shocked the world for winning $250. I am glad she won, but a little suprised. The game was not well marketed, but that didn’t stop a legend.
In Tuts Test you play in an awesome 3d puzzle game when you must flip many obstacles into correct positions. The game has many never before seen things done in gm3d.

Now we all know thats more than the 1st place game. The reason to why it came in 2nd was due to many errors in the game. For starters it lagged once we got to certain spots. The updates were not all expected. The game only has 1 level.
Those were the main reasons Cavemen Craig Took Home the
RedSystem with Ancient Ants
The game is lovely. The graphics are awesome. The game features many qualities of a commercial game. The game was done professionally. Also if push comes to shove this game can be entered in the 3rd gm competition for co-op games, because you have a team of ants that are controlled by you.

I wasn’t at all surprised that KC LC got a place – The judges aren’t going to skip a game just because it’s marketing wasn’t great. The game is fun, casual, and polished – exactly what the judges are looking for.
Also, and I’m not saying you’re wrong – but what makes you think that the judges picked Ancient Ants over Caveman Craig because of CC’s bugs and performance? Perhaps they just thought AAA had a nicer concept. Caveman Craig doesn’t really have that many bugs, performance was the main issue and if the judges cared about the performance they wouldn’t have put CC in any of the places.
