Game Maker-TV VS. GMHV

vs GMHV

Hopefully you all have heard of the Game Maker TV. The Game Maker TV is ran, edited, produced, and recorded by Danny(a GMC Member). The GMTV has once the only game maker video channel. The GMTV won the contest against the GMHV(Game Maker Helper Videos) for quality of game maker related videos.

The GMHV had 7 videos. The GMHV was abandoned due to the lack of support.

So far Game Maker-TV has 3 videos. The site is currently under construction.

I have taken the time out to get an interview with the creator of GMTV

Katchup: When is episode 4 going to be released?

Danny: Monday June 30th, 2008 or earlier.

Katchup: Do you think you have any competition in the game maker video field now?

Danny: Nothing I would consider competition (meaning nothing similar to GMTV).

Katchup: What is your opinion on the last gm-yoyogames competition?

Danny: Very vague, left many questions. Didn’t know exactly what they would consider an ancient civilization.

Katchup: What do u recommend to someone who wants to create a trailer for a game they made?

Danny: Get alot of gameplay footage, get a good FPS when recording. Don’t use WMM effects that everyone uses.

Katchup : What is the best game you have ever reviewed so far?

Danny: Sixty Five Million and One B.C.

Katchup: What are the requirements to make a good Game Maker Video Series?

Danny: There are no “requirements”

Katchup: Which GM magazine do you prefer to read the most?

Danny: Game Maker Tech Magazine

Katchup: Thank you for your time.

Danny: No problem

Well that concludes our interview. Hopefully you have taken Danny’s advice with some ground. Check out episode 4 soon, because the expected release date is June 30, 2008. I advise any who want to make a trailer go there. He charges a small sum. The price is only chump change compared to what you gain from using it.

We all hope that the GMTV remains a successful website and video source.

  2. Comparing GMTV to GMHV really isn’t fair. To GMTV, I mean. How would you feel if I compared you to crap?

    GMHV Lost for far more things than bad quality of videos. To start, none of their videos where any good [Thus, the quality.] Many where Only about their group. The owner also claimed to be the official GM Video channel, saying lies such as “GMArcade and Yoyogames sponsor me!”

    GMTV, however, has become the unofficially official video channel by keeping up [some] quality, and having releventally good information. Unlike HV, which is all crap, and generally not made by the owner.

    Saying GMHV was abandoned from no support is false. They where abandoned because people pointed out that they where not official. After that, they became a failed GM Magazine, who also left because they weren’t official enough. Noticing a pattern?

  3. is GM TV a real tv show? cause my whole grade is making games in game maker, and most everyone is done. send me an email! thats a private email, so don’t give to people, k? but send me an email, cause i don’t know what this website is. i was just browsing.
